Thanks Will,I'm sure the batch file would help some people, probably including me if you have time.However I'm not in an urgent situation as I'm fairly happy with a fix I found on another forum which is to go to Start MenuAdministrative Tools Services, scroll down to Pace License Services, right click and hit start. This will start it up. Sometimes even when set to automatic Pace won't start so I do it manually this way.Thank you I wish I'd heard from you earlier which would have saved much grief. I'm sure you have a much better fix there meaning the manual start isn't necessary.Best wishes. Thanks Corey, The reinstall works for a time but then usually after shutting down my computer and starting it the next day I get the same problem with the error message referred to at the start of this thread. When the iLok manager won't open none of the plugins licensed through iLok will open and I get error message 'The licensing service required to activate this software is not running. Please reinstall the product or download and run the iLok License Manger installer. 'Windows 7 64bit SP1 i7 12GbBitwig Studio.
